Steven Gerrard has had his say on Liverpool’s transfer business this summer and why he believes that Jürgen Klopp still has a few aces remaining up his sleeve.

Steven Gerrard revealed his thoughts on Liverpool’s summer transfer business – and notable lack of – on BT Sport today and revealed his confidence that Klopp could still “bring a couple of big signings in.”
The Reds so far have only managed to add one nailed on start to their ranks in Mohamed Salah and while Dominic Solanke and Andy Robertson are both seen as shrewd acquisitions who could push for a place, they’re hardly a Virgil van Dijk or a Naby Keïta.
Gerrard, however, believes that it’s not over until the fat lady sings – or until the window shuts at very least – and thinks the Reds will get plenty done in the next three weeks.
“There is still time, three weeks to go,” the ex-Liverpool midfielder said.
“Last year, against the top six they were excellent and had a very good record. In pre-season, they have looked very strong and with three weeks to go in the window, I wouldn’t be surprised if Jürgen has got a couple of cards up his sleeve.
“He might bring a couple of big signings in.”
Gerrard also commented on the “huge blow” that is Adam Lallana’s injury which will see the England international ruled out of club football for the foreseeable future.
“Adam Lallana’s injury is a huge blow, because he was a player in great form and confidence,” he added.
“But (Mo) Salah is coming in, (Sadio) Mané back fit and hopefully (Philippe) Coutinho will stay. Liverpool look really dangerous on the counter. If they can learn how to break teams down at home and defend a bit better, I think they are a force.”
