Liverpool FC have announced their starting line up and substitutes to play their final pre-season fixtures against Athletic Club Bilbao this afternoon in Dublin.

Despite none of Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, Daniel Sturridge, Nathaniel Clyne or Philippe Coutinho being able to travel to Dublin for the match, Jürgen Klopp has been able to name a relatively strong line up to take on Athletic Club Bilbao in their final pre-season fixture today.

Simon Mignolet starts in goal and is protected by a back four of trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Alberto Moreno who impressed greatly in the Reds recent victory over Bayern Munich.

Emre Can anchors the midfield behind the promising Marko Grujić and Liverpool vice-captain James Milner – expected to captain the side in Jordan Henderson’s absence – who returns to the position he initially signed on to play in under Brendan Rodgers back in 2015.

Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino appear to be flanking Divock Origi as part of a deadly front three but Salah could partner Origi up top with Firmino in the ’10’ if Klopp opts for a diamond shape instead.

The substitutes also have the potential to pack a punch with Sadio Mané, Gini Wijnaldum, Ryan Kent, Dominic Solanke and Ben Woodburn all named on the bench.

Full Liverpool starting line up: Mignolet, ‘TAA’, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Milner, Grujić, Firmino, Origi, Salah.

Full Liverpool substitutes bench: Ward, Karius, Klavan, Robertson, Gomez, Mané, Kent, Solanke, Woodburn, Flanagan, Ejaria, Wijnaldum.
