Mohamed Salah was interviewed for LFCTV just moments after the Reds lifted the PL Asia Trophy and gave some insight into his first pre-season at the club.

Mohamed Salah has honestly been in superb form since joining the Reds from Roma last month.

The Egyptian winger scored on his debut in the 1-1 draw with Wigan, was one of the brighter sparks on the field in the 2-0 win against Palace and was once again on the score sheet in the 2-1 victory over Leicester.

The former Chelsea man showcased his creativity, fear-factor in and around the box and of course, ridiculous pace, across all three performances.

Speaking after the Reds’ PL Asia Trophy final win, the Egyptian was confident that the football played by both the team and himself will only get better.

“We’ve had a good start. We’ve only played three games. I think it’s a good start for us. Every game we’re getting better and better so that’s the most important thing. We try to play good football, that’s the most important thing for us, we do what the boss says. We try to enjoy the game and try to work hard so I hope it could work next time and every time!”

The Egyptian has enjoyed his first trip to Hong Kong but admitted he is happy to be getting back to slightly less insane weather conditions.

“Here is too hot! We’re going back tonight, we fly for fourteen hours. English weather will be much better!”

Despite only just having joined the club, Salah has already struck up an impressive connection with his fellow Liverpool attackers and the Egyptian was effusive in his praise of the “quality” in the Reds’ current squad.

“We have quality players with different qualities, we play hard and we have different styles. I’m playing good with them and I’m trying to show what I can do.”

“It’s still a friendly but it’s important for us to win every game and you see us improving, that’s the most important thing for us.”

The Reds will now return to Merseyside for a further week of preparations ahead of their Audi Cup fixtures on August 1st and 2nd.
