Liverpool Football Club have tabled a third mammoth bid for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keïta according to reports in Germany.
Liverpool really are desperate to sign Naby Keïta, aren’t they?!
The Reds have reportedly submitted a mammoth third bid for the Guinean midfielder in what could be a final push to prise the 22-year old from Leipzig’s cold, firm grip.
Sky Sports News have confirmed on their German Twitter account that the Reds have returned to submit a last gasp €80 (£71m) bid for the player as they desperately seek to add Klopp’s priority midfield target to their ranks.
Liverpool macht wohl ernst. Drittes Mega-Angebot für Leipzigs Naby Keita!

“Liverpool is probably serious! Third mega offer for Naby Keita!”
The club have already seen two bids, worth £66m and £57m respectively, rejected in recent weeks as Red Bull owned Leipzig continue their hardball stance that the player is not for sale.
According to Andy Hunter of the Guardian, the player is still keen on the move and there have been suggestions that his representatives are in Hong Kong to hold further talks with Liverpool officials over the next step in trying to broker a deal.
Although, sources close to the club have distanced themselves from suggestions that Keïta’s agent is in Hong Kong to discuss a move with Liverpool, according to James Pearce.
Interestingly, however, Melissa Reddy of Goal.com reported Thursday lunchtime that the Reds were considering their next move after seeing their previous bid turned down and that “Ralf Rangnick’s hardline approach” is still causing problems.
Reddy’s article implies that the club while considering another bid after being “encouraged” to table their second offer, hadn’t actually decided whether or not they would do so just yet.
I don’t know about you but I’m personally getting a little bit bored of this whole fiasco by now and will be absolutely relieved when it’s over.
