Liverpool’s 25-man squad for their two PL Asia Trophy games in Hong Kong next week has been confirmed on the club’s official website.
First-team regulars such as Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino are obvious shoe-ins but the trip comes too soon for Sadio Mane who is expected to put the finishing touches on his return to match fitness at Melwood.
Youngsters Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ben Woodburn Ryan Kent and Dominic Solanke all make the squad and will be hoping to impress with the minutes afforded to them but there is no room for unwanted duo Lazar Markovic and Mamadou Sakho.
Young winger Sheyi Ojo – who is supposedly close to finalising a loan move to either Newcastle or Middlesbrough – and midfielder Pedro Chirivella also miss out.
Lucas Leiva is also not included as he is expected to complete a £5m move to Italian club Lazio in the coming days.
The club will leave for Hong Kong today and their first fixture will be played against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
The Red’s full 25-man squad is as follows:
Karius, Clyne, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Milner, Firmino, Coutinho, Salah, Gomez, Henderson, Sturridge, Grujic, Klavan, Moreno, Lallana, Mignolet, Origi, Solanke, Matip, Stewart, Flanagan, Kent, Ward, Woodburn, Alexander-Arnold.
You can catch the Reds in action across all their pre-season fixtures on LFCTV and LFCTVGO.
