Sheyi Ojo is set to spend the 2017/18 season out on loan in order to receive guaranteed game time due to the Reds’ depth in attack.
Youngster Sheyi Ojo will be given a chance to impress during pre-season but is more than likely set to spend the 2017/18 season out on loan reports Paul Joyce of the Times.
The young English winger was limited to just two first-team appearances for the Reds last season as he struggled for form and fitness following a long-term back injury.
Ojo will be granted the opportunity to go out on loan in a bid from Klopp to see the player develop his game through guaranteed playing time at the top level.
Ojo, like new signing Dominic Solanke, is fresh off the back of an U20s World Cup winning campaign with England’s youth setup and is very much a player in popular demand this summer.
Newcastle and Middlesbrough are said to be heading the chase, with both Rafa Benitez and Gary Monk keen on adding extra pace and width to their side.
However, Ojo’s ultimate destination will depend on who can offer him the most playing time with Klopp said to be hoping to see the winger “feature on a weekly basis.”
