Naby Keïta will definitely head to Liverpool Football Club IF he’s allowed to leave this summer according to Italian agent Giovanni Branchini.

Italian super agent Giovanni Branchini has seemingly given confirmation that Naby Keïta will indeed go to Liverpool Football Club this summer if he’s allowed to leave the club. The bad news?

That if is continuing to sound like a very, very big one.

Branchini, who has taken care of players such as the Brazilian Ronaldo, Rui Costa and Angelo Ogbonna and reportedly helped broker the deal between Bayern Munich and Juventus for Douglas Costa, revealed his admiration for the player to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport (via the Express) and that if he leaves, it will only be for Liverpool.

“I really like him. He’s similar to Kante but has better technical skills,” Branchini told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“He has a release clause that can be activated from next summer. RB Leipzig don’t want to sell him now but if he leaves he will be joining Liverpool, not Inter.”

However, it’s a well-known fact that RB Leipzig are not keen on selling their best players this summer and Ralf Rangnick’s continued public affirmation of this stance has well and truly been Liverpool fan’s biggest source of frustration of late.

“There are no players in our squad who have an exit clause,” Rangnick said recently.

“I will repeat it one more time, we will not sell any of our key players. There are a lot of reports about there being a certain figure where we could be open to a sale, but they are all false.”

Branchini’s comments admittedly tell us very little – if not nothing – new but it’s always nice to hear another perspective on a potential transfer deal, especially from someone currently so involved in the game.
