Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana are set to be the next players to return to Liverpool pre-season training at Melwood this week.
Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool squad is set to be bolstered further on Tuesday with the return of star duo Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana to Melwood for pre-season training.
The pair were given an extended holiday after taking part in international duty for Brazil and England respectively back at the start of June.
Coutinho travelled down under with the Seleção, matching up against an Argentina side led by Lionel Messi and Australia’s Socceroos, while Lallana took part in England’s friendly loss against France and World Cup qualifier match against Scotland.
Lallana, in particular, has been posting numerous videos and photos on Instagram, allowing an insight into how he’s getting himself back to full match fitness after a well-deserved break.
Nine players returned on Saturday, including new signing Mohamed Salah, Simon Mignolet, Divock Origi and Gini Wijnaldum while the likes of Firmino, Jordan Henderson and James Milner have been back since Wednesday.
Emre Can will not return for at least another week after his participation in Germany’s Confederations Cup success.
