Liverpool Football Club have officially announced their newest signing, 19 year-old striker Dominic Solanke, formerly of Chelsea.
19-year old Dominic Solanke has officially been unveiled as a Liverpool player on Monday afternoon despite finalising terms with the club back in June. He will wear the no.29 jersey for the Reds.
The former Chelsea striker joined the club after declining to renew his deal with his former employers and as was the case with the signing of Danny Ings from Burnley back in 2015, the compensation fee will ultimately be decided by a tribunal.
The young starlet is evidently keen to get out on the pitch and do his utmost to make an impact that in turn impresses Reds boss Jürgen Klopp.
“It feels amazing and everyone has made me feel welcome already,” he told the club’s official website.
“Even just pulling on the training top, I was over the moon. Hopefully I can put on the shirt in the near future and make some good history here.”
Solanke is fresh off the back of a ‘Player of the Tournament’ worthy performance at the U20s World Cup where he scored four goals and played a major role in helping England to lift the trophy.
