Liverpool have accelerated negotiations with AS Roma over the signing of winger Mohamed Salah with the player supposedly set for a medical this week.
Could the Mohamed Salah transfer saga finally be coming to an end? Reports emerging from Egypt certainly seem to think so.
Hady Elmedany of Yallakora posted the following on his Twitter account early on Sunday morning, sparking the original rumour that negotiations between the two clubs were at last hitting their final stages: “Mohamed Salah waiting confirmation from his agent before travelling to England on Tuesday for medical check @LFC.”
Elmedany then tweeted a follow up just hours later, posting the below tweet to his account:

These tweets coincide with KingFUT’s claims that Liverpool had “given in” to Roma’s fee demands in an attempt to start accelerating their summer business.
The second bid submitted by the Reds was said to be a club “record amount,” of €45m, “subject to approval, medical check ups and personal terms.”
With links to Salah having been endless over the last two weeks, this news will certainly excite Reds fans and provide hope that perhaps once the Egyptian is finalised and confirms his move with the ‘Melwood lean,’ more signings will follow.
Salah was one of only eight players in Europe’s top five football leagues last season to register double figures in both goals and assists.
With the Reds preparing for what will hopefully be their first of many Champions League campaigns under Jürgen Klopp, the German is said to be keen on bolstering his attacking ranks and with pace to burn, an eye for goal and an impressive creative streak, Salah could just well be the answer.
