Solanke has been awarded the Golden Ball for his performances at the U20 World Cup and previous winners include Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba and Sergio Aguero.
Liverpool will be looking forward to having Solanke at the club next season, with the likes of Sheyi Ojo and Ovie Ejaria linking up with him at the World Cup already.
Mike Garrity’s U23 squad will be boosted by his presence and there is no doubt that Jürgen Klopp will call on the youngster with Liverpool needing to navigate four competitions next season with the added stress of European football.
With more football, Solanke will take solace in the fact that he’ll get first team opportunities in domestic cup competitons with squad rotation certain.
The prolific youth player will bring quality to Liverpool’s ranks and the ability to brag about winning the World Cup! How many people can say that?
