The Italian international has been a mainstay in Italy but has now revealed that he will keep his options open this summer.

The summer transfer window might see some of the best stars in Europe shift clubs and the clubs in the Premier League are already making plans for their upcoming campaign.

Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal are two clubs who are in desperate search for attacking quality and reports earlier this season suggested that both teams are interested in the signature of Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne.

The 25-year-old, who has been in devastating form, is currently ‘living his dream’ at his boyhood club but his performances in Naples have caught the eye of the some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

With 13 goals in all competitions this season, he is one of the inform players in Italy at the moment and Napoli are not ready to let him go this summer.

They have offered him a new contract but it is understood that talks have broken down with both parties, intensifying rumours of his exit at the end of the season.

And in an interview recently, the player himself revealed that he could be up for a move this summer.

Speaking to Rai Sport, Insigne said that he wants to stay at the club for a longer time and his agent is already looking into a new deal.

“Renewal? I encountered Napoli this summer, but the first meeting did not go well.

“My agents will speak about any renewal; I gave my full availability to the president, and I hope a deal goes through. If my dream of playing for Napoli shatters, then it will not be my fault,” he said.

He went on to say that it is his dream to the win the Serie A with Napoli but felt that if the issues between the two parties are not resolved, he could be on his way out of the club at the end of the season.

“My dream was to reach Serie A with Napoli, and to win an important trophy. I told the president enough, and did what I had to; my conscience is clean.

“I expressed my position. If they want to continue this relationship, then good. Otherwise, we will go our separate ways,” he added.

Arsenal and Liverpool will now hope that they can lure him to the Premier League this summer.
