Liverpool beat Burnley 2-1 at Anfield to grab all three points in what was a tense Premier League affair on Sunday afternoon.
After an absolutely dreadful first half from the Reds, Liverpool grinded out a win on Sunday against Burnley.Sean Dyche’s men definitely had the upper hand in the first half. An early goal from Ashley Barnes had me thinking, “Oh great here comes another loss to a mid table club.”
Thankfully, Liverpool proved me wrong. A nice goal from Wijnaldum right before the halftime whistle gave the Reds some hope before going in for the half.
A 61st minute screamer from Emre Can saw the Reds take the lead. Hopefully this is a sign of better things to come from the German midfielder. Divock Origi also had two assists. The second half was overall, much better.
After last week’s win over Arsenal, Klopp’s men have finally strung a couple wins together. Hopefully this is the start of a consistent spell for the Reds. Onto the Etihad.
