Loris Karius
Karius has seen a lot of abuse come his way after his crucial errors against Bournemouth led to at least two of their goals, including a last-minute Nathan Ake winner. Whether it has come from a legend in Gary Neville or even a Bournemouth player coming out and saying they targeted Karius as a weakness, he will certainly be looking to bounce back.
Klopp has reinforced his confidence in Karius during his press conference, and has said he was furious after Steve Cook came out and said they targeted Karius. We need to get behind Karius and give him confidence, he is only a young lad.
No doubt he will be feeling some nerves after moving from Mainz in the Bundesliga to a European giant in one of the world most physical leagues. We have seen many world class keepers such as David De Gea and Hugo Lloris begin their career at a new club with a simular situation that Karius finds himself in.
Karius has recently come out and responded to Gary Neville’s criticism, saying, “He was a top player, then he was a manager for a short bit and now he is back to being an expert again.” This shows Karius is not afraid to get his voice out there. Let’s hope he can back up these strong words with a solid performance against West Ham.
