Adam Lallana
No doubt Liverpool have missed the energy of Adam Lallana in midfield over the past few weeks after he picked up an injury during the international break. Lallana had been in the form of his life at Liverpool before getting injured, scoring three goals and assisting five this season.
Lallana has finally been adding end product to his game that had not been seen in previous seasons at Liverpool. The Englishman made his first appearance after a number of games out injured against Bournemouth, being introduced around the 65th-minute mark.
Reports from surrounding club have said that Lallana is expected to make a return to the starting eleven on Sunday, but at who’s expense? Wijnaldum’s or Can’s?
Lallana has thrived this season when he has been allocated a more central role, where he can press and not be relied upon to score every game. I expect Lallana to replace Wijnaldum in the midfield after Can’s physical presence will be needed against a strong West Ham midfield.
