Tottenham was beaten 2-1 in their opening Champions League match on Wednesday, I’m not sure that will do their morale the world of good.

It was a completely different story just a few days back when they looked like they were ready to replicate last season’s achievements with a one-way-traffic performance at Stoke City. I think that display, plus the need to bounce back will push them to a win on Sunday.

As for Sunderland, where do I start?

They’ve been dreadful, three defeats in their first four matches and they’ve only scored three goals. The relegation battle has hardly even begun but David Moyes’ men are already in the thick of things at the bottom.

I can only see a fourth defeat coming their way here.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 Sunderland

Winning their opening Champions League match of the season in midweek was always going to be the perfect way to bounce back for Leicester, but to win it in style, a 3-0 victory over Club Brugge will put their 4-1 defeat to Liverpool completely to bed.

I think a return to the King Power Stadium against Burnley is an ideal assignment for them after a joyful Wednesday night and they must make the most of their opportunity.

Making the most of every opportunity will be the kind of mindset Sean Dyche’s men have this season as they seek to defy the odds and maintain their Premier League status. The Clarets have so far recorded some mixed results, which have seen them earn just four points from their first four games. I think it’s going to be that kind of season for them, which makes survival a difficult target, but Dyche is a positive manager and he will keep on demanding the best from his players, who will respond accordingly.

I’m going to predict a home win for the champions, though. I think their mid-week win will have the squad feeling confident again and with their quality, they’ll get the three points over Burnley.

Prediction: Leicester City 2-1 Burnley
