It’s expected to be a quiet window for Liverpool this month. As usual, the club prefers to conduct its business during the summer months. However, a signing cannot be ruled out at this stage.
There is a possibility of Liverpool bringing in an exciting young attacker in this window who has been on the club’s radar for some time.
Rousing the Kop understands that Liverpool are in talks with the representatives of BK Häcken winger, Momodou Sonko. However, at this stage, they are not the only club in the race for the exciting youngster’s signature.

Liverpool interest in Momodou Sonko
As well as Liverpool, Rousing the Kop understands that the Red Bull group, Bologna and the City Football Group are also in the race to sign the 18-year-old. All parties have held talks with the player’s representatives and are interested in signing Sonko this month.
At this stage, no offer has been made, but interested parties are in the process of preparing bids for Sonko’s services.
Sonko is a skilful winger, who averaged the third highest dribbles per 90 (7.72) out of wingers in this season’s Europa League as per Wyscout. He has 22 goal contributions in 44 senior games at club level.
Rousing the Kop also understands that the youngster signed a new long-term contract at Häcken, but this does not rule out the possibility of him leaving this month.
He’s recently signed a partnership with Nike, and also received a call-up to the senior national team for friendly fixtures in January.
It is understood that Sonko has been on Liverpool’s radar for some time. He was invited on trial back in 2017 – and spent some time training with the club’s academy. He also had a trial at Atalanta in the past.
Regarded as one of the most exciting young players in Sweden at the moment, Sonko will be a huge coup for the club who wins the race for his signature. He is one to watch this month.
