Liverpool are listening to offers for three players already, according to reports. The Reds will reshape their squad.
This comes from Goal. They claim that Liverpool have three players on their books that are already on the transfer list.
The Reds’ season only ended on Saturday but they’re not wasting any time in getting their summer transfer window started. Incomings are expected but also outgoings – and three players top their list in that regard.
Takumi Minamino is the most notable name. We thought there was a good chance he’d stay with the club but it appears Liverpool will move him on. His form over the season – despite rare appearances – will surely tempt sides into offers.
The other two names are far more predictable. Nat Phillips will depart this summer, having earned a promotion with Bournemouth. Again, you’d imagine that success brings in offers quite quickly if Liverpool are open to doing business.
Similarly, Neco Williams is one the market after some fine form for Fulham. They won the Championship with him at the club and Liverpool will look to cash-in on a very talented young player.
Goal also stress that others have their futures up in the air. Both Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have just one year remaining on their deals. Any failure to negotiate news ones could see them join this list as Liverpool look to make some money.
Though, it’s worth mentioning that Keita is far more likely to sign a new one and remain with Liverpool.
Liverpool listening to offers
As we wrote recently, there are a number of players at the club who may have played their final Liverpool game. It’s a number that continues to grow, too – we actually underestimated the potential overhaul.
Though, ‘overhaul’ might be strong. We’re mainly talking squad players or loanees with all of these exits, rather than first-team players being placed on the transfer list. That doesn’t mean we won’t see big names leave the club – Sadio Mané seems like a certain exit – but Liverpool are focusing on trimming the squad above all.
We imagine they’ll end up with a decent income from all of this, too. Minamino, Phillips and Williams will each make a profit – if only because the latter two didn’t cost anything. It’s money Liverpool can easily reinvest in what is a massive summer for the club.
