Liverpool reportedly making plans to sign BVB star Jude Bellingham

Liverpool allegedly want to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund and are ‘making plans’ to recruit him in the summer.

The Englishman is highly rated by all the top clubs in Europe. It’s not exactly a surprise as he has exploded onto the European scene with Dortmund.

England took the 18-year-old to the EUROs where he played a role in the Three Lions reaching the final. It’s clear for all to see that he won’t be with BVB forever, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Liverpool ‘making plans’ to sign Bellingham

The Mirror reports that Liverpool are leading the race to sign Bellingham. They claim that they are ‘making plans’ to bring him to Anfield where he would further enhance their quality.

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly unfazed by the £90m price tag placed on the young midfielder’s head. It would be a major increase on the £75m club-record transfer fee paid to sign van Dijk from Southampton.

The report goes on to say Liverpool aren’t interested in Erling Haaland and are ‘ focusing firmly on Bellingham.’ That is an interesting point as it’s the first time it has been reported that Klopp has no interest in the Norwegian.

He would be the perfect Henderson replacement

Jordan Henderson is still playing well for Liverpool but he’s not going to be around forever. Sports science has changed the modern game so 30 is no longer the end of top midfielders’ careers.

Hendo is 31, so the Reds will hopefully sign Bellingham as his eventual successor.

Of course, the skipper has plenty of time left to win more silverware with the Reds, but signing the teenager and letting him learn from his international teammate isn’t a terrible idea.
