Danny Murphy thinks Mohamed Salah could leave Liverpool over contract talks

Mohamed Salah’s future is once again a hot topic and it’s stressful for Liverpool fans as we want nothing more than for him to stay.

Danny Murphy thinks Salah might leave the club after once again speaking on interest from Barcelona amid a lack of movement over his contract talks with Liverpool.

Murphy thinks Mo Salah could leave Liverpool

“I really hope for everybody at Liverpool’s sake he stays. He is the best player in the world at the moment,” Murphy told talkSPORT. “The more I listen to him talk about being happy that other teams like him and want him, the more I start thinking he might just go.

“If there’s a willingness from the player to really want to stay and a willingness from the club to reward you significantly for being the best player then it gets done.

“From a business point of view it does make sense, how would you replace him? It’s going to cost you a hell of a lot of money.”

The Egyptian footballer has created more tension over his contract situation. He is waiting for the club to meet his demands but there are yet to be positive reports on the matter.

DIVOCK ORIGI DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.

FSG could be about to make a major error

FSG are seemingly stalling on offering the right-wing a contract that would make him the highest-paid player in the Premier League. By discussing Barcelona links amid the contract standoff, Salah has made it clear he is not forcing a move but that the owners are currently unwilling to meet his demands.

It is a smart play from him and his agent.

I’ve said it before but, if FSG don’t extend Salah’s contract, they may as well start looking for new owners for Liverpool as supporters will chase them out of Merseyside.

It would be another issue facing the American owners. The Super League was the latest in a long list of grievances that fans have. Lack of transfer spend, the decision to furlough non-playing staff and the ticket price hike in 2016 are just some of the grips supporters have.

Salah is the best thing to happen to Liverpool since Jurgen Klopp and letting him leave would be foolish in the extreme.
