Liverpool fans have made themselves heard on Twitter over Aaron Ramsey being linked with Liverpool.
Juventus reportedly hope that Klopp’s appreciation for the player solidifies itself in the form of a bid, according to ESPN.
The Reds don’t spend a lot of money but, aside from the odd transfer like Ben Davies joining the club, Liverpool are cool, calm and collected in the transfer market.
They can be that way because Jurgen Klopp is effectively a miracle worker, able to keep his side competitive with minimal investment from FSG.
The German managed to take Liverpool to third place in the Premier League last season after an unprecedented injury crisis at the heart of defence.
In the summer, he was only given Ibrahima Konate and no replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, no cover for Mo Salah and Sadio Mane and no alternative to Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Signing Aaron Ramsey, an injury-prone almost-31-year-old, to replace Wijnaldum, one of the fittest players in Europe, doesn’t stack up and fans are annoyed.
At this point, Liverpool are better off focusing on signing a forward in the summer and waiting until the end of the season to sign a midfielder, as it takes a long time to adjust to Klopp’s tactical demands.
Ramsey will never play for Liverpool. That much I am certain of, as he is nowhere near the type of player that would succeed in the Reds’ current midfield setup.
Fortunately, there is nothing in the report that suggests Liverpool will actually move for Ramsey.
