Liverpool fans react to news about Erling Haaland

Borussia Dortmund are open to instalment bids for Erling Haaland, as per 90Min, and Liverpool fans think it gives the Reds a chance.

The report adds PSG, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all interested which doesn’t come as a surprise and while his wages could prove to be a massive hurdle, Liverpool actually have a genuine chance.

He is on £132,000/week but reports indicate he would demand £30million per year which would be over £500,000 per week.

Chelsea have just signed Romelu Lukaku and will not want to share game time with Haaland, Pep Guardiola has a feud with Mino Raiola, Manchester United are a mess at the moment while PSG might have a strong chance as well if Kylian Mbappe does leave as expected in the summer.

Liverpool have a genuine chance of signing Haaland if FSG decides that it’s a deal they are willing to finance and, having just paid Ibrahima Konate’s 36million release clause in full to RB Leipzig, they would surely be ready to pay over double that but over several instalments to land the future best striker in the world.

Twitter reacts to Haaland bombshell update

Some fans on social media agree and believe the news about Dortmund’s readiness to agree an instalment-type deal gives the Reds their in, when they might have been unwilling to stump up the release clause in full.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

Here’s what these fans had to say…

Haaland has the potential to become the best striker in the world and even the best player on the planet. If Liverpool can genuinely afford to bring him to Anfield, they mustn’t hesitate.

I’ve become used to having some of the best players in their position like Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Trent and Alisson Becker, I want that to be the case for a long time.

Jurgen Klopp could turn the Norwegian into an even more effective striker and will help him win the silverware required to validate his talent.
