Juventus reportedly hope that Klopp’s appreciation for the midfielder solidifies itself in the form of a bid, reports ESPN.
The former Arsenal star, who earns £400k-a-week as per BBC, moved to Juve in 2019 has failed to make the move a success and the Italians now want to move him on.
According to ESPN, they are hoping Liverpool will submit a bid to sign the Welshman although it does seem unlikely given that he would surely want to remain on the wages he is on in Turin.
The report goes on to say that Juventus hope ‘Klopp’s admiration for Aaron Ramsey will lead to a bid’ in January with his contract set to expire in 2023.
West Ham, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Leicester City are named as sides interested in signing the 30-year-old but Juventus want Liverpool to firm up their interest with a bid.
Ramsey bid would be a massive mistake
Liverpool are run far too efficiently to make the mistake of signing a player that turns 31 next month that is already earning £400,000 every single week especially when the club is stalling on giving the same amount to Mo Salah.
He has zero goal contributions this season and is struggling to break into a Juventus side that got pumped 4-0 by Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Hardly the most encouraging form for a supposed potential signing and his last decent season came in 2018/19 when he scored 6 goals and assisted 8 and even if he had those numbers now, his legs are gone and he wouldn’t last 30 minutes in Jurgen Klopp’s counter-pressing unit.
