Thiago is a target for Barcelona despite only being at Liverpool for just over a year and it’s been confirmed by reliable journalist Christian Falk.
Initially, Paulo Almeida reported that Thiago is another player that Barca want to bring back to Camp Nou after Dani Alves was linked with the Catalonians,
The Brazilian has since rejoined the club and now it seems Thiago is a real target for Barcelona. Mundo Deportivo then followed up on the story and claimed that the La Liga outfit can only afford to sign him on loan.
Christian Falk, who was the most reliable source for Thiago’s move to the Reds now insists that Barcelona want to re-sign the Spaniard despite the fact that Liverpool won’t want to part ways with another midfielder and definitely not during the middle of the season.
Thiago’s £200,000-a-week wages would also be a stumbling block for Xavi as Barcelona are severely limited financially and after being force to make Lionel Messi leave the club, signing Thiago currently seems impossible.
The former Bayern Munich midfielder is back from injury and with the Reds in need of a return to winning ways against Arsenal, his finesse and technique will be needed against the Gunners.
His cameo against West Ham was sub-par but you can’t really criticise him considering he was only just returning from injury and came on in a game where Liverpool were battling to penetrate West Ham’s resolute defence.
Fabinho returned to form during the international break, playing in an intense encounter with Argentina and was labelled by a Brazilian outlet as ‘insurmountable.’
