A local source close to Porto says that Liverpool are considering a move to sign Luiz Diaz in January but with a £50.6mil price tag, fans aren’t convinced.
Jornal de Noticias, a source close to Porto and one that got the Marko Grujic transfer tip early in the summer, reports that Diaz tops Liverpool’s wishlist as they look to the January transfer window.
Without Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, the quality in attack diminishes considerably and Colombian forward, Diaz, has reportedly been identified as the top option in the winter.
A report from Calciomercato says that Porto want to sell Diaz for £50.6m in what would be the biggest sale in their history which makes this move a major doubt in my eyes.
When you realize that Erling Haaland will be available for just £13m more, signing Diaz for anywhere over £35million is a waste of funds and can be better spent elsewhere.
Of course, Haaland will not be available in January and that’s when the Reds need to add to their attacking ranks but Diaz is not worth the fee being demanded and many fans on social media agree.
