It looks as though the Reds are looking to dip back into the market for another young recruit.

Liverpool want Kyron Gordon

There is plenty of youth talent in the Premier League with the division boasting some formidable academies.

It looks as though plenty of eyes are on the Sheffield United set up at the moment.

According to The Mail, Liverpool are tracking Kyron Gordon, the Blades’ 18-year-old centre back.

The Reds aren’t alone with a pack of clubs monitoring the teenager, Manchester United among them.

What RTK has to say

The Reds certainly need a centre back in the senior side but not in the academy.

We have plenty of promising young defenders in the youth set up.

Billy Koumetio, Rhys Williams and Sepp van den Berg will all be looking to push into the first team in the coming years.

However, we always trust the recruitment team’s judgement.
