A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to reports that Leicester City defender, Caglar Soyuncu, is one of five centre-backs on the Reds’ summer wishlist.
This comes from The Mirror. They claim that sporting director, Michael Edwards, has been very impressed with Brendan Rodgers’ star defender.
Soyuncu on Liverpool’s radar
It’s no surprise that Liverpool are looking to strengthen their defensive back-line following the season-ending injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.
And it appears that the Reds are prepared to broaden their horizon in terms of identifying a viable option. According to The Mirror, Liverpool are monitoring the likes of Ibrahima Konate, Ben White and Duje Caleta-Car.
Making Ozan Kabak’s loan period a permanent transfer also remains an option. However, Liverpool are also weighing up the possibility of signing the 21-year-old’s international teammate, Soyuncu.

We wouldn’t be surprised if Leicester, like they did with Harry Maguire, were intent on making a significant profit on the 32-time Turkey international.
However, it appears that despite an a potentially gargantuan asking-price from Leicester, a number of Liverpool fans would love to see Soyuncu on Merseyside.
At 24, Soyuncu is not even close to his peak for a defender. It’s scary to think how good he could be in just a few years time.
With that in mind, here is what the Anfield faithful have made of the links with the Leicester star…
