Both Diogo Jota and Naby Keita will start from the bench ahead of tonight’s fixture against Chelsea, according to reports. Jurgen Klopp, though, could call upon Fabinho to return the starting XI ahead of his return from a muscle injury.
Jota and Keita to miss out on starting berth
This comes from The Mirror. They say that Jota will be involved in a match-day fixture for the first time since December 9, although he will start from the bench.
Naby Keita, too, will be among the substitutes despite his late cameo in the 2-0 victory against Sheffield United on Sunday.
According to the report, Keita has been placed on a specialist fitness programme, meaning Klopp has chosen to take a cautious approach on the Guinean talisman.
It is a similar story for Jota, who missed the weekend’s clash at Bramall Lane as a result of illness.

Klopp, instead will look to utilise Jota – who earns £90,000-a-week, per Spotrac – from the bench, while Fabinho could make his first start since the defeat against Manchester City defeat last month.
The Brazil international has been nursing a muscle injury in recent weeks, but the Mirror claim that Klopp could be tempted to throw Fabinho straight in at the deep end upon his return to the squad.
Whether he is to be utilised in midfield or defence, though, remains to be seen.
Fabinho’s countryman, Alisson Becker, will also return to the starting XI as he returns after his family bereavement.
Liverpool take on Chelsea under the lights at Anfield in a 20:15 GMT kick-off.
