Liverpool are keeping tabs on Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, according to reports. Zinedine Zidane is prepared to sell the Brazilian starlet for £50 million.
This comes from the Spanish publication Diaro Goal. They say that Jurgen Klopp is aware of Rodrygo and likes him as a player.
The 20-year-old is currently nursing a hamstring injury and has yet to feature for Los Blancos since the turn of the new year. He has clocked up 11 La Liga and six Champions League appearances this term.
The report adds that both Madrid and Barcelona are expected to make a number of signifiant player sales this summer. This is a result of the pandemic, which has heavily influenced finances in the Spanish top-flight.
Despite, interest from Liverpool, Zidane maintains that Rodrygo is very-much part of his long-term plans at the Bernabéu.

Indeed, Klopp could be in the market this summer, too, especially with his pedigreed front-three all turning 30 by the beginning of the 2022/23 season.
What RTK has to say
Much of Liverpool’s reported interest, as with any transfer, will ultimately be impacted by price.
Rodrygo is currently contracted at the Spanish capital until 2025. With that said, Madrid are under no immediate obligation to sell, which could heavily impact their asking-price.
While it’s clear to see that Rodrygo is a talented player, unless Madrid are willing to make up for their losses and sell the Brazil-born forward on the cheap, it’s difficult to predict whether this is a transfer we should be getting behind.
After all, £50m in the current financial climate is an extortionate sum of money, especially for a player with just 30 La Liga appearances to his name.
