Liverpool return to action in the Premier League on Sunday looking to put an end to a barren four-match losing run.
The 2-0 defeat at Everton last weekend further compounded what has undoubtedly been the toughest period of Jurgen Klopp’s tenure.
There are a number of selection issues and injuries for the Liverpool manager to work through.
Big decisions in defence
While Klopp isn’t exactly spoilt for choice in the defensive department, there are still some big calls to make.
Most notably, who he partners alongside Ozan Kabak at the heart of the defence. Jordan Henderson is unavailable, after all, leaving either Nat Phillips or Ben Davies to come in.

Klopp could also look to utilise Fabinho alongside the 20-year-old centre-back. The Brazilian returned to training earlier this week.
While we’d prefer to see Fabinho in midfield, it’s likely Klopp will turn to his experienced 27-year-old to partner Kabak.
Limited midfield options
Injuries are hampering Liverpool’s choices in midfield, too. Henderson is out, while Fabinho could be sacrificed in defence.
James Milner and Naby Keita are back in the picture, though, which could set up an interesting tactical tweak.
Gini Wijnaldum is in desperate need of a rest, after all. So, Klopp could be tempted to bring at least one of the aforementioned names into the equation.
We predict that both Keita and Milner will start in midfield against the Blades, with Thiago accompanying them.
What about attack?
Klopp’s forward-line will soon be set to benefit from the return of Diogo Jota, who was back in training on Wednesday.
While it’s unlikely that Jota will start, we could expect to see him make some form of impact from the bench.
The front-three, then, will likely remain Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
In: Fabinho, Keita, Milner.
Out: Henderson, Wijnaldum, Jones
