Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter after it emerged that Fabinho could be in contention to make his return from injury against Sheffield United on Sunday.
This comes from The Times. They say that Fabinho, who suffered a muscle injury earlier this month, isn’t too far away and has ‘stepped up’ his recovery – with Liverpool fans desperate to see him back in the team.
Fabinho close to return
The report adds that it hasn’t yet been decided whether or not the Brazilian will make it back in time for the trip to Bramall Lane.
However, the possibility hasn’t been ruled out, with Fabinho looking to prove his fitness credentials in training this week.
If Fabinho is fit, then, there is no doubt where supporters would like to see the 27-year-old utilised on Sunday.

Remarkably, the former Monaco starlet is yet to play in his natural midfield role since the 2-2 draw with Everton at Goodison Park on October 17.
Season-ending injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip have forced Fabinho to deputise at the back, which has had a detrimental effect in midfield.
Following the loss of Jordan Henderson, supporters are adamant that Jurgen Klopp has to get Fabinho back into the midfield mix, amid a run of four consecutive league defeats.
Considering Liverpool have Ozan Kabak, Ben Davies and Nat Phillips to pick from at centre-back, it’s easy to see why Kopites feel the Reds No.3 should return back to his natural position.
Let’s take a look at some of the tweets from the Anfield faithful on social media…
