Virgil van Dijk sends an Instagram message to Liverpool fans

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has posted a positive update on Instagram as he continues his recovery from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.

The 29-year-old has been working hard in the gym as he looks to step up his rehabilitation process having been ruled out of action since October 17.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp previously stated it would be a ‘miracle‘ if Van Dijk were to make an appearance before the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

Despite the lack of clarity behind Van Dijk’s return date, Klopp did still register the towering Dutchman among Liverpool’s 25-man squad for the Premier League and Champions League.

And the latest message from Van Dijk indicates that his rehabilitation is going well. The Netherlands captain appeared in goods spirits at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre in Kirkby.
