Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter after Jurgen Klopp delivered a damaging assessment on his initial thoughts regarding the severity of Jordan Henderson’s injury.
The Reds lost another centre-back on Saturday evening, when emergency defender Henderson limped off inside the first 30 minutes of the Merseyside derby, with a groin injury.
Liverpool’s medical department will get a late confirmation on Sunday over scan results, but Klopp fears that the latest defensive setback could see the skipper out for at least six weeks.
“It is a massive blow losing Hendo again. Massive,” said Klopp.
“It makes it really difficult….but unfortunately we have got used to it now.

“So that means we have to change things, but we unfortunately are used to having to change things by now, and we just try to set up again for the next game.
“As long as we have 11 players we will do that. We have problems, you know them.
“But we do not have an attitude problem, and the boys are still full of desire, and even though I can not talk about the good things in our game because we lost a derby, we have to use them to put things right.”
Klopp also confirmed that medics told him after the game that the extent of Henderson’s problem “doesn’t look good”, with The Mirror reporting it could be at least a grade two tear.
The worst possible setback
If this were the case, the 30-year-old skipper could face at least six weeks, or even three months on the sidelines.
So, it seems that everything that could have possibly gone wrong for Liverpool this season has gone wrong.
Rather than list the number of sustained absentees this season, it’s easier to point out those who have not spent at least three weeks on the treatment table: Andy Robertson, Gini Wijnaldum, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane.
Fabinho, the first drafted emergency defender, is currently absent with injury, too. Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip have all suffered season-ending injuries.
The root of Liverpool’s problems does not require forensic investigation, either. Injuries, VAR controversy and a total absent of supporters have all collectively conspired to destroy the team’s title defence this season.
Let’s see what the Anfield faithful have had to say about the reports that Henderson could await a significant injury lay-off.
