Jurgen Klopp will start Jordan Henderson and Fabinho in defence for Liverpool’s titanic encounter against Manchester City on Sunday, according to reports.
This comes from The Mirror. They say the Brazilian will make his return from injury against Pep Guardiola and his Premier League leaders.
Fabinho, 27, has missed out on Liverpool’s previous three games, and his absence, particularly in midfield, has been a huge miss for the English champions in recent weeks.
The Reds’ recent aura of invincibility at Anfield was diminished even further on Wednesday night as Liverpool lost their second consecutive league match at home for the first time since 2012.
Indeed, Liverpool were with without the likes of Alisson Becker, Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk, Naby Keita, Diogo Jota, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and, of course, Fabinho.

Fortunately, the latter, as well as Alisson and Mane, are all expected to return in time for Sunday’s do-or-die encounter.
However, whether or not Liverpool supporters will be pleased with the news that Henderson and Fabinho will partner each other in defence remains to be seen.
What RTK has to say
It is no secret that Klopp’s midfield is less functional without both players in their naturally-suited roles.
It is worth noting that this report was written before Wednesday’s defeat at Brighton, so the Liverpool boss could have a change of heart in regards to his selection process.
He could be tempted to hand deadline-day signing Ozan Kabak an early baptism of fire with a Liverpool debut against City.
This could be a favourable option, then, as it would enable either Fabinho or Henderson to return to their preferable positions.
Still, it does seem like Klopp will go with experience against Guardiola and will utilise Henderson and Fabinho in defence, ahead of one of the biggest games of the season.
