Kylian Mbappe is expected to remain at Paris Saint Germain amid links with Liverpool, according to Mauricio Pochettino.
The France international’s future has been cast into extreme uncertainty in recent months, after a report from The Times emerged indicating Mbappe’s desire to leave the Parc de Princes.
Mbappe, 22, has been heavily touted with a summer move to either Real Madrid or Liverpool, with ESPN reporting the former Monaco starlet is ‘keen’ on the prospect of linking up with Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
The English champions have been part of the Mbappe discussion for some time now, with supporters no doubt dreaming of the prospect of Klopp adding the World Cup-winning forward to Liverpool’s attacking armoury.
However, Pochettino, who took the PSG job at the beginning of the year, says that he is confident that both Neymar and Mbappe will commit their futures even further to the French champions.

“I believe that Neymar and Mbappe will stay, I have a feeling, and will stay a long time at PSG,” Pochettino told RMC.
“And I have no doubts, I am very optimistic. The club is working hard to keep them with us.
“Ney and Kylian are happy. They are having fun here.”
What RTK has to say – Does this finally put an end to the Liverpool/ Mbappe saga?
If we are being honest, even amid Pochettino’s latest comments, the prospect of Liverpool landing Mbappe this summer was highly unlikely.
Indeed, Klopp would relish the opportunity to work with the £166m-rated [BBC] Frenchman, but given the financial ramifications of the global pandemic, there is little chance of the Reds signing Mbappe.
The only other way we could justify Liverpool investing a nine-figure sum to land Mbappe were if Klopp were to sell any of his pedigreed front-three at the end of the season.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool have already reported losses of £100m as a result of the pandemic.
With that said, the likelihood of Klopp being granted such a financial gamble to land Mbappe is significantly reduced.
With Diogo Jota under consideration, too, Liverpool’s attacking firepower isn’t exactly short of options at this present moment.
The only way we see the Mbappe situation changing is if someone were to prize away either Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino this summer.
