Predicted Liverpool line-up against West Ham United

In the midst of another week that has once again been plagued by Liverpool injuries, it seems Jurgen Klopp isn’t exactly spoilt for choice when picking his team to face West Ham on Sunday.

Often, the array of options at Klopp’s disposal make the team difficult to predict. This, however, is one of those rare occasions where the manager is limited with the changes he can make.

Nat Phillips will likely come into the defence backline in place of the injured Joel Matip. Klopp confirmed, also, that Fabinho would not return in time for the trip to the London Stadium, so Jordan Henderson will likely remain in defence.

The rest of the backline picks itself, with Alisson in goal, plus Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold at full-back.

One change in midfield for Liverpool

James Milner was outstanding during the 3-1 victory at Tottenham on Thursday and would be deserving to retain his place. However, Klopp could look for a more attack-minded set-up against the Hammers.

With that said, he could utilise Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in midfield, given the Englishman was left on the bench in midweek. He has an impressive record in East London, too.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has three goals in his last three appearances at the London Stadium.

Meanwhile, Gini Wijnaldum and Thiago Alcantara will likely retain their positions in Klopp’s midfield triumvirate.

Moreover, the attack will likely stay the same, too, with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane back on the goalscoring trail against Tottenham.
