West Ham United have offered RB Salzburg £25 million for striker Patson Daka, according to reports. The 22-year-old forward has previously been touted with a move to Liverpool. Supporters have given their reaction on Twitter.
Daka, 22, has emerged as one of the breakout talents in Europe over the last 12 months following a devastating period in the Austrian top-flight. The 18-time Zambia international has a whopping 15 goals in 17 appearances this season, after all.
Last term, he was just as prolific, too, clocking up 27 goals and 12 assists over the course of 2019/20. He has effortlessly filled the attacking vacancy left by Erling Haaland at Salzburg, it would seem.
Kopites will best remember Daka following his impressive brace against the Reds during a 2-2 stalemate between Salzburg and Liverpool in pre-season.

The East London outfit are currently in need of attacking firepower, and it seems, then, David Moyes has turned to Salzburg to fill the vacated position left following Haller’s transfer to Ajax.
Liverpool were previously mooted with an interest in Daka during the summer transfer window. This claim was made by Zambian publication FarPost, who believe Jurgen Klopp and Manchester United were previously the favourites to land the Salzburg striker.
The Reds have been struggling for goals in recent weeks, having scored just once in their previous three matches. At £25m, a move for Daka, then, could be a shrewd financial gamble to take.
His goals to game ratio is already amongst the best in Europe, too, while given his relatively young age, he is only going to get better.
