Virgil van Dijk has posted another video update as his road to recovery for Liverpool continues – and many Reds fans have responded on Twitter.
Van Dijk, 29, has been out of action since October 17 following a knee injury that later required surgery after a horror-challenge with Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
The Dutchman later underwent successful surgery on the damaged anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee with Liverpool refusing to put a timeframe on his recovery.
The hope is that his previous impressive injury record and ability to remain fit will work in Van Dijk’s favour going into the New Year.
His recovery programme took a significant step last week with Van Dijk pictured working with a ball for the first time in over two months.

And Van Dijk has posted another video on social media of himself putting the work in at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre.
The footage involves Van Dijk in the gym on the exercise bike and pedalling hard to strengthen his knee and speed up the recovery process.
Speaking last month, his manager Jurgen Klopp, was pleased with the early signs of Van Dijk’s rehabilitation period.
“Considering the circumstances, he’s doing really well,” said the Reds boss.
“His knee looks good for a knee with that surgery and the time he had since the surgery.
“So, yes, of course we are in contact and he’s doing well, that’s true.”
The update has come as a welcome surprise for Kopites. Many are utterly in awe of the progress Van Dijk has made in such a short space of time.
We were told that he could be out for the season but that prognosis is beginning to look overly pessimistic.
