There was more good news on the injury front as Liverpool midfielder Fabinho moved another step closer to full fitness after he posted a picture on Instagram of himself back on the training pitch.
Fabinho, 27, has been out of action since the Brazilian sustained a hamstring injury during the Champions League victory against FC Midtjylland just over three weeks ago.
He has since missed three matches against West Ham, Atalanta and Manchester City although his latest fitness update could indicate he could be in contention to feature against Leicester City on Sunday.
His post read: “Missed this. Back in the field!”

Fabinho’s return to fitness could hardly have been timed better given the number of injuries Liverpool are currently nursing.
The Premier League champions are already without defensive duo Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez who have both suffered long-term knee injuries while Trent Alexander-Arnold is also out with a calf problem.
Fabinho has previously covered at centre-back for the aforementioned duo although Liverpool’s shortage in midfield could see the Brazilian fill in the absence of Jordan Henderson, who has been ruled out of the Leicester match with a groin problem.
Meanwhile, Thiago Alcantara didn’t appear to be involved in Friday’s session at Liverpool’s new AXA Training Centre. The Spaniard was pictured at Kirkby on Thursday although he has yet to be seen back involved in full training.
