The stage is set for Diogo Jota to establish himself from a potential impact player to a guaranteed starter in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
Jota, 23, is expected to start in Sunday’s match against Leicester City with Mohamed Salah guaranteed to miss the encounter having tested positive for COVID-19 for a third time on Thursday.
The Portuguese forward has since returned back from international duty and was pictured at Liverpool’s new AXA Training Centre yesterday in preparation for the return to club action this weekend.
Jota sent a two-word message on Instagram to Liverpool supporters, which read: “I’m back.”
Jota was pictured in yesterday’s session alongside the likes of Naby Keita, Sadio Mane, Rhys Williams, Divock Origi, Joel Matip, James Milner, Adrian, Curtis Jones and Nat Phillips who are all in contention to feature against Leicester.
