Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was pictured taking part for Liverpool at the club’s new AXA Training Centre as the club issued a statement on the player’s current physical condition – and his teammate Andy Robertson has sent an amusing message on Instagram to him.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, 27, has been on the sidelines for pretty much the entirety of the 2020/21 campaign having picked up a knee injury during pre-season.
His last competitive appearance for Liverpool came on the final match of last season against Newcastle United – he has since missed 14 matches in all competitions for the English champions.
Liverpool’s official website issued a statement on Oxlade-Chamberlain’s current condition, with the England international still undergoing a rehabilitation programme that could see him in action in the next few weeks according to The Mail.
The report outlines that Oxlade-Chamberlain is ‘making good progress on his road to a full recovery’ and could be made available to Klopp as early as December.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has clocked up 87 appearances for Liverpool since completing a £35 million [BBC] move from Arsenal in 2017. During three seasons on Merseyside, he has scored 13 goals and has registered 10 assists. His form could be crucial to Jurgen Klopp, if the Reds are to continue their title defence in the absence of a number of high-profile names.
Liverpool teammate and left-back Robertson responded to the club’s Instagram post regarding Chamberlain, dishing out an amusing response on the ex-Southampton and Arsenal ace: “Pass completion – 3%.”
