While Jurgen Klopp continues to examine who will and will not be fit ahead of Sunday’s encounter with Premier League leaders Leicester City, his managerial counterpart Brendan Rodgers was handed a major fitness boost with four injured players pictured back in training for the Foxes.
Wesley Fofana, Timothy Castagne, Ricardo Pereira and Wilfred Ndidi have all had injury concerns of late, ranging from minor issues to serious problems, but all four were back in training on Wednesday.
Fofana, 19, has been one of the Premier League’s outstanding defenders this season and according to Leicestershire Live, is likely to be fit for the Anfield clash at the weekend.
The French defender was pulled out of his nation’s Under-21’s squad following issues with his knee. He has since returned to Leicester for assessment, but is thought he will overcome the problem in time for Sunday.
Summer signing Castagne has missed City’s past four matches with a hamstring injury, but was predicted to return after the international break and could see some form of involvement against the English champions.

Meanwhile, Ricardo and Ndidi are back in training although it is deemed that it could be too early for the Leicester duo to be considered for selection.
Ricardo, 27, has been out of action since March after surgery on his cruciate ligament and while the club had targeted the end of November as a realistic return date, he has been slowly eased back into training to speed up the recovery process.
Ndidi, 23, has also had an operation following a groin injury, and was expected to return closer to the Christmas period.
Liverpool will host Leicester City under the lights at Anfield on Sunday evening at 19:15 GMT.
