Mbappe, 21, has previously lauded the achievements of Liverpool in the past and has spoken openly to the press regarding his admiration over the success Klopp has been able to inspire over the previous two seasons.
He is claimed to be ‘in awe’ of Liverpool’s relentless mentality that has seen them win both the Premier League and Champions League over the past two seasons.
Klopp himself is a big admirer of Mbappe although the Reds boss has openly expressed the financial difficulties that come with signing a player who is tipped to be a future Ballon d’Or winner.
Despite financial concerns, Laurens believes a move from Paris Saint Germain to Liverpool could indeed be a possibility after Mbappe informed the Champions League runners-up that he intends to leave at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

“If you ask Mbappe now about Liverpool he’s, ‘Wo, it’s amazing what they do. The club is incredible. They’ve got an amazing team’,” Laurens said.
“The future of Kylian Mbappe is up in the air because PSG will say, ‘okay you don’t want to extend your deal so we are going to sell you next summer’. There will be two clubs who he will be really keen on.
“Real Madrid is his dream, but Liverpool very much will be in the conversation for him and his family because he’s really in awe of what they are doing and what they are building. He spoke on the record of how good they’ve been.
“I think he used the word ‘machine’. I certainly think he will really fancy playing for a club like Liverpool if there was an opportunity there.”
What RTK has to say
If Liverpool were to sign Mbappe it would represent one of the club’s biggest ever signings.
The Reds have already demonstrated in the previous window that they are able to flex their muscles and attract some of the world’s biggest names.
After all, it was only last month that Liverpool were able to lure away Thiago Alcantara from the home of the European champions which showcases just how high the club are regarded in the footballing world.
There is no doubt that Liverpool will indeed be interested in the prospect of landing Mbappe next summer – you don’t have to be a transfer guru to realise that the France international would make any team across the continent stronger.
Liverpool’s sporting director Michael Edwards is notoriously a tough negotiator in the transfer market so unless the club were able to conjure up a financial masterstroke, the prospect of signing Mbappe remains very-much unlikely.
