According to reports from Italian outfit La Lazio Siamo Noi, Arsenal are reportedly one of a number of clubs interested in signing Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren when the transfer window eventually reopens – and Jurgen Klopp could use this to his advantage.
Arsenal, as well as Tottenham, Lazio, AC Milan and Lyon, are all interested in signing the 31-year-old who has been linked with a summer exit from Anfield. Lovren has just 12 months left on his current Liverpool deal and was desperate to leave the club last summer.
The report claims that Liverpool will likely command a fee of around £18m to nab the World Cup finalist even though his contract situation remains unresolved. The Reds signed Lovren from Southampton in 2014 for £20m [BBC Sport] as well as fellow Saints duo Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert.
According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool are among many clubs interested in teenage wonderkid and Arsenal star Bukayo Saka.
At just 18 years of age, Saka has emerged as one of the brightest youngsters in the Premier League this season during an incredible inaugural campaign with the north-Londoners – having a hand in 12 goals in 29 appearances this season.

With three goals and nine assists, Saka is showcasing a maturity well above his age since being introduced on to the scene by former Arsenal manager Unai Emery. The Gunners are still yet to agree on terms with the teenager regarding a new contract with his current deal expiring in the summer of 2021.
Liverpool have reportedly showcased their interest in the Arsenal man and face competition from Manchester United for the in-demand player. Mikel Arteta’s claimed interest in Lovren could be used as part of the deal to convince Saka that Anfield could be the place to take his game to the next level in the summer window.
Arsenal are in desperate need of a centre-back with Shkodran Mustafi and David Luiz currently the team’s current central defensive partnership while Liverpool could benefit with a player who could act as sufficient cover for Andy Robertson.
Saka can also play on the wing which could compensate with Xherdan Shaqiri’s expected departure while the England U19s international can also feature at left-back.
Liverpool currently have only James Milner who can cover at full-back should Robertson ever be made unavailable while academy duo Adam Lewis and Yasser Larouci are both still in the early stages of their development and are not ready to be entrusted with such responsibility in the absence of the Scotland captain.
However, Saka has a full season of Premier League experience under his belt and considering Arsenal’s defensive interests adding Lovren to any potential deal could be a win-win for both parties.
