The Daily Star has claimed of interest in the teenager from the aforementioned Premier League trio as well as La Liga and European juggernauts Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Bellingham, 16, is reported to be valued at over £30 million by the Midlands outfit, with The Mirror also crediting Chelsea with interest in him as well.

A report from German publication  Bild this week claimed that Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of snapping up the youngster with another potential English talent potentially looking to emulate the achievements of European wonderkid Jadon Sancho.

Balague has revealed on his Twitter feed that Birmingham want to sell the in-demand player, and has added that Dortmund are indeed interested and one of the front-runners to sign the Championship starlet with Bellingham reportedly wanting to go abroad should he leave his boyhood team.

What RTK has to say

Indeed, it is disappointing to see that Anfield will unlikely be the destination for one of the country’s brightest young talents next season.

However, this is, of course, no disaster.

According to stats from WhoScored, Bellingham has clocked up 24 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Championship for Birmingham so far this season and has become a mainstay in the team, scoring four goals and providing two assists in the process.

Whilst signing the teenager would have been a fantastic move for Liverpool, losing him to a foreign side is the next best option with rivals United also in the hunt.

A move to Dortmund could actually be the best move for Bellingham considering Liverpool’s current title as Champions League holders and English champions-elect.

The youngster is more likely to get minutes in the Bundesliga for a team that has transformed players such as Sancho and Erling Haaland in such a short period.
