Jurgen Klopp was pictured putting Liverpool through their paces during training as the Reds prepare for the weekend’s Premier League clash against AFC Bournemouth.

There could be a number of selection alterations following on from disappointing defeats to Chelsea and Watford in the past week.

In the space of 15 days, Liverpool have been defeated in the Champions League, Premier League and the FA Cup with club ambitions of an improbable treble finally over.

Despite a rare sense of disappointment following three defeats in their previous four matches, Liverpool’s senior stars were all in good spirits ahead of the return to Anfield on Saturday.

Naby Keita was amongst those who was spotted in training with the Guinea international recovering from a hip problem that ruled him out of the 3-0 defeat at Watford last weekend.

The 26-year-old according to the Daily Mirror could feature against Bournemouth having made just four Premier League starts following another disappointing campaign that has been riddled by injury.

Who else featured?

James Milner was another amongst the smiling contingent with the former England international hoping to make his first start since January following a muscle injury that has limited the 33-year-old to limited appearances.

In our weekly team prediction, we have back Klopp to reinstate Liverpool’s vice-captain back into a Premier League starting lineup for the first time this year.

Pedro Chirivella was also involved after he was an unused substitute in the 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge. The 22-year-old was unfortunate not to feature following his impressive performances in the competition prior to the fifth-round exit.

With Liverpool’s FA Cup campaign now over, it remains to be seen whether the Spaniard will feature from now until the end of the season and considering his contract runs out in June and its difficult to predict whether the club will offer Chirivella a contract extension.

Club-captain Jordan Henderson was absent from training and will be out of contention for the Bournemouth clash following the skipper’s hamstring injury sustained during the defeat to Atletico.

Klopp confirmed after the defeat in the Spanish capital that Henderson will likely be on the sidelines for three weeks with hopes of a return in the second-leg bout at Anfield next Wednesday.
