Norwich City playmaker Todd Cantwell produced another eye-catching performance for Daniel Farke’s team as the Canaries masterminded a stunning result against Tottenham Hotspur to progress into the FA Cup quarter-finals – and Liverpool fans want the English star signed.
Cantwell, 22, has been one of Norwich’s shining lights in a struggling campaign that currently sees the east Anglian side rooted to the bottom of the Premier League. He has clocked up 28 appearances during his inaugural Premier League season and has scored six goals – as well as creating two more.
The Norwich talisman has been persistently touted with a move to the home of the European champions following two inspiring performances against Jurgen Klopp’s team this season. He has a contract at Carrow Road until the summer of 2022, but with Farke’s team likely to face the drop this could open a move for Liverpool.
Liverpool are set to lose Adam Lallana in the summer – whose contract expires in June – while there are also doubts regarding Xherdan Shaqiri who could also exit the Anfield doors come the end of the season which could open the door for fresh attacking talent.
FourFourTwo claim Norwich value Cantwell at a fee of £30million, which is a reasonable asking price considering the young age and unquestionable talent of the Englishman. Cantwell once again showcased his unwavering quality after inspiring a giant-killing FA Cup win over Jose Mourinho’s Spurs outfit.

Once again, he blossomed against one of the Premier League’s ‘big-six’ team with a mature and collected display against the Champions League finalists. He even demonstrated his composure after converting in the shootout, and many Liverpool fans reacted to his display, urging their club to bring him to Anfield.
30m for cantwell it is then 😂

I think Todd Cantwell would be a great addition to the @LFC squad: young, talented, British, blonde ⚽️

Cantwell is in same mould as Lallana but younger and more potential.
Havertz allows us to play a different formation.
To compete for all major honours we need to have 2 quality players for each position.
