Elliott, 16, joined the Reds from Fulham in the previous summer window after the teenager became the youngest ever player to feature in the Premier League last season and will agree fresh terms at Liverpool after he has turns 17 in April.

The reports claim that Liverpool are set to offer Elliott a maximum three-year extension but that he can sign fresh terms again once he turns 18 in 2021.

Eliott recently made his Premier League debut under Jurgen Klopp during Liverpool’s 2-0 victory against Sheffield United last month. The England U17s international has made an impressive six starts for the first team which included vital victories against Everton and Arsenal.

Described by Klopp as an ‘unbelievable’ talent, Elliott has been monitored by the Football Association who sent a delegation to watch him – and his team-mate Curtis Jones – in the FA Cup fourth-round replay victory against Shrewsbury earlier this month.

Elliott traded London for Merseyside after completing the move to Anfield last summer when his contract at Fulham elapsed. Liverpool will, of course, have to pay compensation, despite signing him on a free transfer, and Fulham hope a tribunal will find that they receive a fee in excess of £7million for the young talent.

Following the report, many Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to showcase their delight for Elliott, who is undoubtedly destined to have a bright future with the Reds.
