Premier League leaders Liverpool travel to Carrow Road to face rock-bottom Norwich City this evening 17:30 GMT.
The Reds are looking to extend their gargantuan lead at the top of the table to 25 points should they claim their 25th victory of the season.
Meanwhile, Norwich are in a mirror-opposite run of form in this top vs bottom Premier League instalment. Daniel Farke’s team have won just one of their previous 12 league matches and are currently eight points from safety.
Jurgen Klopp’s visit the Norfolk based side comes at an unwelcome time for the Canaries with Liverpool in the most relentless run of form in their 127-year history.
Liverpool have recorded 100 points from their previous 102 available and are unbeaten in their last 42 league matches. If that wasn’t sour enough viewing, the Reds are currently on a run of 16 consecutive league victories.
Here is the confirmed line-up to face Norwich…
Goalkeeper – Alisson Becker
The Brazilian shot-stopper is back to his brilliant best following another inspiring performance against Southampton before the winter break– the 4-0 win saw Alisson top the Golden Glove chart for the season with his ninth clean sheets this season.
Right-back – Trent Alexander-Arnold
The Scouser in our team will be whipping crosses in for fun with The Reds can be expected to dominate possession.
Centre back – Virgil van Dijk
Big Virg is still yet to miss a Premier League fixture since January 2018 and will be called upon once again against Norwich.
Centre back – Joe Gomez
The Englishman has become undroppable with Van Dijk and the Englishman registering nine clean sheets in their previous 10 league matches. Also, in Gomez’s last 36 Premier League appearances alongside the big Dutchman, Liverpool have conceded just eight goals.
Left-back – Andy Robertson
Robertson will be feeling refreshed following the inaugural Premier League winter break. He’s certain to make the XI against the Canaries.
Defensive midfield – Jordan Henderson
The skipper has been in irresistible form of late. With a goal and an assist in his previous PL outing, the club-captain is a certain contender for the PFA Player of the Year award.
Centre midfield – Gini Wijnaldum
Arguably our most underrated performer of the season. The Dutchman’s work rate will keep Norwich out of possession and will be vital in transitional periods of the match.
Centre midfield – Naby Keita
The Guinean’s first start since he hobbled off against Sheffield United in the warm-up following a groin injury last month. Huge performance needed to get some momentum back.
Right wing – Mo Salah
The Egyptian King produced a magnificent break against Southampton before the winter break. Liverpool’s top-scorer is back to his devestating best.
Firmino role – Roberto Firmino
Liverpool’s away-day specialist will be hoping to add to his impressive tally of 10 goals away from Anfield when the Brazilian walks out at Carrow Road.
Left-wing – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Ox made it two goals in as many games on the wing against Southampton a fortnight ago. Mane may be back in contention but shouldn’t be risked with Atletico just around the corner. The England international deserves to keep his place in the Liverpool team and could even make it six consecutive league starts for the first time since 2018.
