Lallana, 31, has clocked up 175 appearances for Liverpool since joining the club in 2014 for £25million (BBC) from Southampton. Since his arrival the dynamic midfielder has added the Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup to his impressive CV.

The report claims that Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Arsenal are all looking to nab Lallana’s signature, while Brendan Rodgers wants to sign the 34-time England international for a second time – after luring him to Merseyside from Southampton six years ago.

Lallana’s Liverpool tenure has been plagued by numerous injuries that have led to the 2016 England Player of the Year failing to consistently land a run of matches under Jurgen Klopp.

The former Bournemouth playmaker is not expected to be awarded any kind of short-deal from the Premier League champions-elect with Liverpool prioritising the development of youngsters such Curtis Jones and Pedro Chirvivella who have all stepped up to the plate in recent weeks.

Lallana is reported to want regular game time for the Reds and this is something that Klopp has acknowledged he simply cannot offer.

Following the report, a number of Liverpool supporters have taken to Twitter to react to the imminent departure with a selection feeling now is the right time for both parties to shake hands and call it a day.
